Terms of Use
These terms set the rules for using Lumae. They are a Ghana-launch draft and must be completed and approved before the service opens.
1. The service
Lumae is an adults-only dating and date-planning service operated in Ghana by Bertins Cleaning Services, of P.O. Box SP5361, Spintex, Accra, Ghana ("Lumae", "we" or "us"). We provide tools to help verified adults meet and plan public dates. We do not arrange or guarantee dates, conduct background checks beyond the verification described in-app, or act as an emergency service.
2. Eligibility and account rules
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these terms.
- You must provide accurate information and complete our verification process before becoming visible.
- You may have one account only, must keep your login secure, and must not impersonate another person.
- We may refuse, restrict or close an account where we reasonably believe these terms, our Community Standards, the law, or user safety require it.
3. Treat people with respect
You must follow our Community Standards. Do not use Lumae to harass, threaten, exploit, scam, discriminate against, deceive, solicit commercial services, exchange money with another member, or break the law. We may investigate reports and take action including content removal, restrictions, suspension or account closure.
4. Dates and safety
Meeting someone is your personal choice and responsibility. Meet in public, make your own transport arrangements, tell someone you trust your plan, and use the report or block tools if something feels wrong. Read our Safety Centre. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
5. Date tokens and payments
Where Lumae offers a date token, it is a commitment fee paid to Lumae—not payment to another member and not compensation for a date. The exact price, currency, what is included, cancellation window, refund rights and support contact will be shown before you pay. Payments are processed by our authorised payment provider. 6. Content, changes and liability
You keep ownership of content you create, but grant us the limited permission needed to host, display, moderate and operate it within Lumae. We may change, pause or discontinue features for safety, legal or operational reasons. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lumae does not guarantee introductions, matches, dates, or the conduct or identity of other members.
