1. Who is responsible for your information?

Lumae is operated in Ghana by Bertins Cleaning Services, of P.O. Box SP5361, Spintex, Accra, Ghana ("Lumae", "we", "us" or "our"). Bertins Cleaning Services is part of Bertins Group. The Lumae brand operates as a separate dating-service business.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use Lumae, we may collect account details, profile information, photos, interests, approximate area, verification outcomes and fraud-prevention signals, date-planning and payment-status information, reports and blocks, support correspondence, technical security information, and website waitlist details.

Payment-card and mobile-money credentials are handled by the chosen payment provider, not stored by Lumae.

3. Why we use information

We use information to operate the service, verify adults, provide introductions and date planning, process date-token payments, prevent fraud and abuse, respond to reports, protect users, provide support, improve the service, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information. We do not use precise live location for matching or reveal a home address to another member.

4. Who may receive information

We may share information with providers that help us host the service, verify identity, process payments, send messages, store media, prevent fraud and moderate harmful content. We may disclose information where required by law, to protect someone from serious harm, or in connection with a business reorganisation.

5. International transfers and retention

Our providers may process information outside Ghana. Before launch, we will document each transfer and put appropriate safeguards in place. We retain information only for as long as needed for safety, fraud, financial, legal and dispute-resolution requirements. The final policy will publish specific retention periods.

6. Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to certain uses of your information, receive a portable copy where applicable, withdraw consent, close your account, or complain to the appropriate data-protection authority. Use in-app controls when available or contact us using the details above.

7. Marketing, cookies and adults-only access

We send launch messages only where you have requested them or where otherwise permitted. You can unsubscribe at any time. We will publish a cookie notice before using non-essential cookies. Lumae is not for anyone under 18; accounts believed to be underage will be restricted and reviewed.
