LUMAE SAFETY CENTRE
Meet on your terms.
First dates should feel exciting, not uncertain. Trust your instincts and use Lumae’s tools whenever you need them.
In an emergency: contact local emergency services immediately. Lumae is not an emergency service and does not monitor every interaction in real time.
Before you meet
- Keep conversations in Lumae until you feel comfortable.
- Choose a public, staffed venue and arrange your own transport there and back.
- Tell a trusted person where you are going, who you are meeting and when you expect to return.
- Use recent photos and verification; never send identity documents, banking details or one-time passcodes to another member.
During a date
- Stay in public. You can leave at any time—no explanation is required.
- Keep control of your drink and personal belongings.
- Do not share your home address, workplace details or live location until you choose to.
- Be clear about consent. Consent must be freely given, specific and can be withdrawn at any time.
Report, block and get help
Use the in-app Report or Block control if someone makes you uncomfortable, asks for money, impersonates someone, pressures you, threatens you, appears under 18, or breaks our standards. Include as much detail as you safely can. We may restrict accounts while we review serious reports.
For urgent non-emergency support, contact support@bertinsgroup.co.uk. Do not use this address for emergencies.
We do not tolerate
Harassment, hate, coercion, sexual exploitation, threats, scams, financial requests, sharing private information, impersonation, underage use and illegal activity are prohibited. Read the full Community Standards.
